Cancer Fighting Foods

Q: Are there any cancer-fighting foods I should be eating?

A: Yes, certain foods are associated with a lower risk of getting cancer.  The top ten recommended foods are as follows:

  1. Red wine (in moderation)
  2. Vegetables from the cabbage or mustard family
  3. Green tea
  4. Foods that contain vitamin D, such as fish, eggs, fortified cereals
  5. Foods that contain vitamin B along with folate, such as whole-grained and enriched-grain products
  6. Dark green vegetables
  7. Ginger and turmeric
  8. Beans and lentils
  9. Dark chocolate containing 70% cacao, preferably higher
  10. Berries
